Understanding Mental Illness

About Me

Understanding Mental Illness

After one of my sisters was diagnosed with a serious mental illness, I knew that I needed to learn more about the disorder to avoid being ignorant. I started reading more and more about the disorder, and I was able to figure out what I could do to help her. I started being able to be part of her therapy instead of part of the problem, and it really helped to improve our relationship--and her life. I wanted to make a blog for everyone out there who has a difficult time understanding mental illness, therapy, and other issues tied to the brain.
